Victoria E. Blank, M.D., F.A.A.F.P., is a noted authority on obesity, bariatric medicine and nutrition.

Her interest in obesity stemmed from her own weight problem while she was in medical school She was raised by parents who owned a chocolate shop and manufactured "chocolate pralines" in Belgium before WWIL When this wonderful main ingredient and staple of her childhood reappeared on the Belgian market after the war, she became the "victim" of chocolate, and the rest is history....

Dr. Blank received her medical degree from The University of Brussels, Belgium in 1954. She is Board-certified by the American Society of Bariatric Physicians. Before becoming a Bariatrician she practiced Family Medicine for twenty years (including deliveries). Dr. Blank is on the staff at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, Connecticut.
